Miss and Miss Teen Irving
Cash Sponsorship Opportunities
The Miss Irving Scholarship Organization is a not for
profit, volunteer organization and sponsoring agent for an official preliminary
to the Miss Texas and Miss America Scholarship Pageants. The Miss America
Scholarship Organization is the world’s largest provider of scholarship
assistance for young women and one of the nation’s leading achievement
programs. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local
organizations made available over $45 million in cash and tuition scholarship
assistance. It provides young women with a vehicle to further their personal
and professional goals and instills a spirit of community service through a
variety of unique community based programs.
In 2005, for the first time ever, the Miss America
Organization was proud to extend its trusted and celebrated 84-year-old brand
to include a national teen program. Miss America’s Outstanding Teen will strive
to “Promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and
community involvement for America’s teens.”
This past year we were blessed to work with two
exceptional young women. Jordan Johannsen, Miss Irving and Miss Teen Irving,
Lydia Knight, spent hundreds of hours in the community doing volunteer work and
speaking to school age children on their platforms. In July both young ladies
did an amazing job representing the city of Irving at Miss and Miss Teen Texas.
Jordan was named 1 runner up to Miss Texas, won preliminary
physical fitness and won over $10,000 in college scholarship. Lydia placed 12
and won non-finalist talent for her ballet en pointe to “Can’t Stop the Beat.”
Needless to say, we are honored to be a part of these
prestigious programs. This year two more young ladies lives will forever be
changed as we crown the new Miss and Miss Teen Irving 2011! We invite you to
join us in supporting these amazing young women by becoming a donor or sponsor
of the 2011 Miss Irving Scholarship Pageant. The attached is our donor and
sponsor forms for you to review and choose your level of interest.
Please help us extend an opportunity to two deserving young ladies for 2010
– 2011 and provide Irving yet another venue to showcase its commitment to excellence!
Sincerely,
Chris and Alexandra
Martin
